This position requires an individual with a valid CDL Class B license and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 26′ Box Truck while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies. It is imperative that the individual possesses a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle operation and safety practices, including operating vehicles with a GCWR of 26,001lbs or more and a towed weight of less than 10,000lbs.

Additionally, the individual will be responsible for proper freight loading and securement, as well as loading and unloading as necessary. Maintaining accurate records and logs in accordance with DOT and company policy, performing and documenting pre-trip, on-the-road, and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safe vehicle maneuvering and control are also key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of Hours-of-Service regulations and be able to maintain ELD/paper logs to track and report duty hours. Flexibility and the willingness to work standby hours are required, as is maintaining the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle’s interior and exterior.

This position offers an 8-hour shift and a competitive pay range of $19.00 – $22.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including dental, health, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, paid training, and a referral program. Any additional duties assigned should also be performed to the best of the individual’s ability in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Fully understand how to operate and safely drive commercial vehicles with a GCWR of 26,001lbs or more, with a towed weight of less than 10,000lbs.

· Responsible for proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport. Assist in loading and loading as required.

· Willing to load/unload and assist in operations at the terminal as required.

· Maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with DOT and company policy.

· Perform and document pre-trip inspections, on-the-road inspection, and post-trip inspections.

· Maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions, and the ability to drive during the daytime or nighttime.

· Knowledge and adherence to Hours-of-Service regulations, maintaining ELD/paper logs to track and report duty hours.

· Wiling to work stand by hours

· Keeping the vehicles interior and exterior clean and in good condition.

· Perform job functions in a safe manner to avoid personal injury and equipment damage

· Maintaining valid license and certifications.

· Any additional duties assigned
